Children Won't Wait
Children will not wait for parents’ schedules to improve while they build their careers or pursue their own interests. There is no waiting until a more convenient time. Training of children must be done while they are young and still trainable, because children just won’t wait.

Some Tips For Writing Compositions
There are more to a good piece of writing than using good phrases. A piece of writing full of 'good phrases' with no interesting content will not 'score' well. Some students have a tendency to 'overuse' such phrases or use them inappropriately.
An excellent piece of work needs to have clear and appealing ideas and is supported with vivid details. The introduction must be effective and has the ability to arouse the interest of the reader. Some examples are : use of sounds, dialogues or flashbacks.

More about Journals
Sharing with you all , excerpts of my girl’s journal entries when she was in primary 2. They were written to her form teacher on a weekly basis with a topic posted. I thought the posting of topics was a marvelous ideas as it helps to draw out the feelings and ideas of the child who may otherwise resort to the mundane entries of daily happenings.

The Faint Cry
Exhaustion hit me like a sledgehammer. Trudging down the long route of the forest hike, I longed for an icy-cold drink. I kicked a pebble and scowled. Why did I ever agree to accompany Frank on this forest hike?

A Parent's Prayer
Sharing a short prayer with all parents as we await for the release of our children's SA results...
"Oh, God, make me a better parent.
Help me to understand my children, to listen patiently to what they have to say and to answer all their questions kindly.
Keep me from interrupting them, talking back to them and contradicting them.
Give me courage to confess my sins against my children and to ask of them forgiveness, when I know that I have done them wrong.
May I not vainly hurt the feelings of my children.
All About Mum's Comfort Bolster
A short sharing by my son…
All About Mum’s Comfort Bolster
Mum had this bolster with her since her teenage days, I think. It was specially sewn by Grandma on an old-fashioned sewing machine. She then stuffed some cotton wool into it. A simple piece of cotton floral cloth was used to sew the cover. A very simple bolster, it appears ,but very comfortable and special as it reminds Mum of Grandmother’s tender loving care towards her.
The bolster has flattened over the years by Mum’s nightly hugs and squeezes and Grandmother would replace the cotton wool every now and then and she would change the cotton cover too.
Mum will sleep with it every night. I suspect it has her salivas and tears on it when she cries herself to sleep during sad days. That’s why my sister and I comment that it stinks. But to Mum, it is the smell of love.
